Sydney to New York

After about two months in Sydney I have decided to come back to the US for two weeks to celebrate my brother's wedding. After the wedding we will be taking a mini road trip up north and visiting some friends in NYC, Rhode Island, Boston, and Albany and then back home for our return flight to Sydney.

Manly Beach!

Today we took the ferry to Manly Beach and climbed up some rocks to see some great views of the area.

Blue Mountains

This week we decided to take the two hour train ride up to the blue mountains for some amazing views and good hiking. What started as a casual hike across the mountain ended up being a six hour adventure where we got to see the three sisters and an amazing waterfall. The hike started at the top of the mountain and when we got to the three sisters we stopped to have a picnic consisting of veggie burgers, chips, carrots, and some PB & J. After lunch we climbed down some very steep stairs for about a half hour and ended up at the bottom of the mountain where we got to see the waterfall from the other view point at the bottom. We then circle back at the bottom till we found another set of stairs which took us back to the top of the mountain. After a steep hard climb we made it back to top and celebrated with some milkshakes at the local cafe and then made our way home.

Last Sunday Fun Day we decided to buy a bunch of boomerangs and learn how to throw them at the park. After about 20 minutes of some good attempts and one broken boomerang we were kicked out of the park by some local park rangers. Apparently throwing boomerangs in Australia at your local park is not allowed. Although we will be attempting to improve our boomeranging abilities in the future cause it sure does make for a good Sunday fun day.
